In a new Q&A with the English edition of GQ magazine, Kacey Musgraves talks about her love of Tupac, her favorite Nashville dive, men’s fashion and the time she was asked to dress as a French maid.
For Kacey, a man in clothes by Affliction is a major fashion-don’t. She claims, “It’s just douchey and really gaudy. I like when people have Western style but it’s throwback '70s-ish. I like pearl-snap shirts and a bow-tie like the KFC man.”
When asked if she’s ever quit a job, Kacey revealed, “It was for a company that did kids’ birthday parties -- you’d show up as a character, paint some faces, stay for about an hour, get paid, go home … The next job they called me for was an industry birthday party, and they wanted a French maid to come and deliver balloons and sit on someone’s lap. I was like, ‘No, sir. That is a far cry from Cinderella.’”
