Taylor Swift went punk last night (Monday) at the Met Gala in New York City.
The event -- themed Punk: Chaos to Couture -- attracted a litany of a-listers, including Madonna, Beyoncé and Gwyneth Paltrow. Everyone rocked punk-inspired fashions in honor of the Costume Institute’s new exhibit of the same name.
T rocked an elaborate J. Mendel cut-out gown with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Givenchy shoes. Celebrity stylist Jemma Muradian coiffed T’s locks for the star-studded event, while Nashville-based makeup artist Lorrie Turk did Taylor’s makeup.
Running May 9th through August 14th, Punk: Chaos to Couture will feature more than 100 designs for men and women from the likes of Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld, Gianni Versace and Vivienne Westwood, who outfitted punk rockers The Sex Pistols in the mid-1970s.
