The Washington Redskins' nickname has been a controversial topic for many years now, with many calling for it to be changed because it's offensive.
Now, a Washington, D.C., city council member is pushing a resolution calling on the Redskins to change their name, citing the grounds of it being "racist and derogatory." Council member David Grosso suggests changing the name to Redtails, in honor of the Tuskegee Airmen.
Meanwhile, a new poll found that the majority of people are just fine with the name. 79 percent of those polled said they have no problem with the name and the team should keep it. Only 11 percent said they should change it. (ESPN)
